Lighter trick in slow motion 60fps rendered at 24fps 0.4x Nikon D3200 video test To do this trick I held in the button on the lighter while the lighter was in the shot glass. That let some butane out into the shot glass and then I struck the lighter and that lit the butane. The sparkles are from tiny pieces of flint burning a little bit late. I recorded this awesome lighter trick at 60 frames per second with my Nikon D3200. I rendered the video at 24 frames per second, at 40% of the original speed. I used a 50mm f/1.4 Al lens at an aperture of f/1.4, ISO 200, and shutter speed 1/125 of a second. Recorded with the Nikon D3200 Edited in Adobe Premiere Elements 10.0 Enjoy -Derek

I saw the Nikon D5200 on Nikon's UK website! It should be on the US website pretty soon! The Nikon D5200 will have a 24.1 megapixel image sensor that can do ISO 100-6400 and is expandable to ISO 25600! That's really sensitive! This should mean that image quality at lower ISO's like 3200, 1600, and 800 will be less noisy and produce better quality pictures than before. Also movie mode now includes 1920 x 1080 60i 50i 30p 25p 24p as well as 1280 x 720 60p and 50p. Also there is a new 39 point AF system which is a huge improvement over the 9 point AF system. The RGB sensor is now 2016 pixels which will really improve the exposure accuracy. Movie AF modes are the same and the AF-F mode will probably work a little bit better than it did on the D5100 and D3200. Also movies can still be recorded in effects modes. The D5200 can do 5fps continuous shooting, so it can take 5 full resolution photos per second, which is a huge improvement! And the Expeed 3 sensor is included in the D5200. Some cool effects that you can do with a polarizer. Anything that emits polarized light can appear to emit no light at all when viewed through a polarizing filter at certain angles. I used the Hoya 77mm Apha Circular Polarizing Filter. Circular polarizing filters consist of a Linearly polarized piece of glass with a quarter-plate circular polarizer attached behind it. The purpose of the circular polarizer is to prevent newer cameras with meters that are behind partially reflecting mirrors from incorrect metering measurements due to the angle that the linearly polarized element was adjusted to.
