Nikon D3200

Video depicting the "play" of the focus ring on the new Nikon 28mm f/1.8G lens. The ring is a bit loose/undamped and has some "slop" when changing directions, esp. compared to its slightly older cousin, the 85mm f/1.8G. This makes manually focusing in LV a bit of pain but it's still manageable.

I was luckly enough to test out the new Nikon D3200 camera, i wanted to see what it could do video wise, This is a set of 4 videos of the camera. This one shows how the Camera shows Sound and video. No External sound software was used for this so the sound your hearing is from the camera it's self. The clicking you are hearing is the camera trying to auto focus, what i've found is if the camera is stable, i had to press the camera button to auto focus the camera as it would take a while to focus on the subject. The footage was filmed around Birmingham for the Nikion Training day they had. When looking back at the footage on a HD TV it looked pretty decent. The footage was a little hard to edit at times, Even though there was onboard editing software when using Adobe Premiere it was a harder to edit what i wanted. Nikon D3200 Sweeping

This is a problem some of you may be having, I know I was! When you buy older manual lenses for your new entry level Nikon DLSR ( d3000, d3100, d3200, d5000, d5100) the aperture ring only works in live view - Fine for video, but if you want to use the lens for Photos too you're out of luck, unless you only want the lens to be wide open - OR you can try this handy trick and get full aperture control outside of liveview! I hope this helps you out, old Nikon glass is awesome and a great bargain too, if you force yourself to use manual lenses you become better with the settings and improve your skills!
