An unboxing and review of the Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens. It is Nikon's most powerful zoom lens yet, with a 16.7x zoom range. This lens is beautiful, amazing, heavy and big, but also quiet and smoother than it's predecessors. I test the lens creep, the auto focus servo speed and noise, and show the unboxing and the ins and outs of this awesome new lens. I have also noticed that the VR (vibration reduction) image stabilization on this lens works a bit better than the 18-200mm VR II lens and it no longer makes a click when it turns on and off, and it doesn't make a high pitched noise when it is on (the 18-200mm and the 18-55mm lens make a high pitched noise when the VR is on). This was my second ever Urban Downhill race, with the first being Lyttleton www.youtube.com Great event, with an electric atmosphere, technical track(albeit a little less than urban at times :) ) and all the boys/girls having a good time. The weather was a bit touch and go, but the luckily the rain came down hard just after the last rider crossed the line! I was racing, so this was Agata's first time behind the video camera, but she did an exceptional job of capturing the action, considering we only had time for a quick 30 second tutorial on shutter speeds, panning, DOF, lense selection and manual focusing! Shot on Nikon D3200 with kit 18-55mm, Sigma 80-300mm, Samyang 8mm Fish-eye, Go Pro HD, Go Pro HD2 and one bent tripod leg thanks to Mr. Over the bars :)
