A quick cat video to test the D3200's 1080P video capabilities
The first week of October I had the opportunity to travel to north Alabama and interview, film, and just hang out with some amazing musicians. The Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention is held every year on the first full weekend of October on the campus of Athens State University in Athens Alabama, and the event really has two sides; one is the competitions that take place over the two days, but then the other is the unscripted jam sessions that form up all over the campus. I've been several years, but never shot any video of the festival, this year however my cousin Michael Williams and his friends Houston Barbee, Andrew Walker, Cliff Bailey, and Brandon Bounds entered the Bluegrass Band category. Here is a very small slice of the festival, and Bluegrass music in general. Shot on a Nikon D3200, and edited in Adobe Premier.

It's Nikon's entry level full frame sensor FX camera with 24 megapixel and full HD video. I was very much impressed with the over all quality of the camera. The camera has duel memory card slots. The body is very similar to Nikon D7000 but it's bigger in size. In my opinion it's a great camera specially for the price. I do plan to compare this camera with Nikon D700 and Nikon D800 so please stay tuned for that video. I had nothing to do and it was dark out so I decided to take some low light test clips using my Takumar 50 1.4. I really enjoy using this lens but it's hard to focus, hold the camera, and shift with only two hands. I did a little color correction and curves but the video is indicative of how you'll see it from the camera. I shot this on my T2i using an adapter bought on ebay.
