It seemed cool when I first thought of it. I recorded water being poured out of a bucket onto the driveway in 60fps with my nikon D3200 and slowed the video down to 2/5 it's original speed and rendered it as a 24fps movie. This video test shows you what your footage will look like if you integrate it into a 24fps movie and slow it down by 40%. I really can't get enough of the Nikon D3200's slow motion mode! Taiwan Special Episode 2: In the 1st episode we got challenged to visit 7 locations in Taichung, Taiwan in 3 days or else we have to pay for our entire trip. Last time Lok was stopped in customs for importing some green phallic things into the country; I had my suitcase raided by the bloody producer and packed an HDR costume; he had a hissy fit when I cleaned out his minibar; we took some photos; had a meal in a toilet and we got set a challenge to visit 7 locations in 3 days, if we don't complete the challenge, then our forfeit is to pay for the trip. We only managed to see one location that day, so we still have 6 locations to visit in 1 1/2 days. Here I test the D5100 with the (very loud) 18-55 lens that comes with the kit its a great cheap lens (around 200) and wonderful all purpose lens, but noisy for video, the d5100 seems to take a bit of time to focus, but over all its good, i bought the D5100 for the price point and for the continuous AF during video, but after using it i find that i like manual focus for video better because its faster and much less noticeable for continuous scenes, i will get the d7000 hopefully by the 1rst and try to compare. the iso adjust dynamically in auto mode as well as aperture (science... im making a note here... huge success)
