Nikon D3200

I review the Sony A65, it is very similar to the A57 I reviewed last week. The A65 is priced at $1000 USD bundled with the 18-55 lens or $900 USD body only. While the body layout is identical to the A57 the A65 is quite different from a technical standpoint. The A65 uses a 24 megapixel sensor where the A57 is 16 megapixels. The A65 also maintains it's full 24 megapixel resolution when shooting at it's maximum 10 frames per second continuous shooting speed. The A57 shoots a bit faster at 12 frames per second but can only do so while capturing an 8 megapixel image. While both cameras use Sony's translucent mirror design and electronic viewfinder the A65 gets the higher res viewfinder of the A77. High iso performance is good up to iso 1600, 3200 is usable while 6400 should be used as a last resort.
