I would've used my Nikon D3200 but I couldn't give it up for 5 days. I used the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G lens at f/1.8 and a polaroid shutter release interval timer. I used the camera's aperture mode to hold this focal length. I used ISO 100 for each picture and I let the camera pick the shutter speed. I also had a circular polarizer on this lens to help the stars show up but it didn't actually do too much.
